Title
RESOURCES AND ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF SMALL AND LARGE FARMS SELECTED FARMS IN TENNESSEE
Keywords
The major objective of this study is to determine possible
;
differences between production functions, and determine differences
;
in productivity levels as means to appraise resource allocative
;
efficiency on small and large farms. Cobb-Douglas production functions
;
were estimated using cross-section data, collected from 193
;
randomly selected farm families in two counties of West Tennessee.
;
The empricial results reveal that significant differences exist
;
between the groups of farms. These differences are reflected by
;
production functions and production elasticities of individual inputs.
