Agricultural commodity truck brokers were surveyed to ascertain their perceptions of deregulation after Florida totally deregulated its intrastate motor carrier industry. Truck brokers were expected to favorably receive deregulation as it should enhance their value as market coordinators. However, nearly half of the brokers viewed themselves as being harmed by deregulation.
