Abstract

To determine the regional participation and specialization of economic activities in Mexico, 2003-2013, three techniques of regional analysis were used. Manufacturing, trade and real estate services contributed more to GDP. The Central-West, Northwest, North and South regions, specialized in agriculture and livestock; East and Peninsula in mining; Central-East and Northeast in commerce and manufacturing. It is concluded that the percentage composition of regional economic structures changed as a result of the change in the productive vocation of the territories.
