The aim of the paper was to determine the state of realization of the concept of sustainable development in the Lubraniec Commune. There was used a diagnostic survey method within which there was used a questionnaire survey. Due to complexity of the concept it was decided to examine only some of its aspects. The presented results of the study showed that the commune was developing in line with the main objectives of the concept of sustainable development.
