Abstract
The article discusses the effects for Polish large-scale agricultural enterprises of introducing in 2015 the
new direct support scheme and payment amounts. On the basis of a simulation it was possible to establish the
amount of subsidies that would likely be granted to enterprises under analysis. The former were compared with
the level of support as calculated for 2013. This leads to a conclusion that under the new financial perspective,
the subsidy level for large-scale agricultural enterprises will diminish significantly due to changes in subsidy
instruments and the reduced single area payment for the largest beneficiaries. However, the decrease in
support will have the greatest negative impact on shareholder companies of the State Treasury APA, which
are active in creating and popularising biological progress. The second group that will be affected the most
by the changes in the direct support scheme will be the agricultural production cooperatives
