We can observe a significant increase in the activity of local authorities and self-governments in the field of space marketing. In the paper the author presents the essence of territorial marketing, emphasizing its evolution and its connection to various sectors of marketing knowledge. Attention has also been drawn to the aims and objectives of territorial marketing in the local environment.
