Abstract
The target of the research was to determine selected attitudes of consumers residing in Central Pomerania
within the scope of tourism in rural areas of the said region. Consumer assessment was used for this purpose.
Research was conducted on a 203 representative group of people. The questionnaire-based interview method
was used for the research at the turn of the year 2014/2015. Continuation of the traditional pattern of tourist
travel results mostly from low quality of tourist attractions in the vicinity of facilities accommodating tourists,
low quality pricing policy, insufficient availability of information. This provides legitimacy for modifying
strategic plans and operational projects for the development of Central Pomerania.
