The purpose of this paper was to present the views of the local government on the ways to promote of rural municipalities in Mazovia Province, depending on their level of socio-economic development. In the empirical method was used taxonomical development model of Z. Hellwig to assess the level of development of local communities surveyed. However, to obtain the opinion of the municipalities were used method of diagnostic survey using survey techniques by a standardized questionnaire.
