The aim of the study was an appraisal of social infrastructure development level in rural areas of Zachodniopomorskie province in 1999 and 2013. The research was conducted on both the rural and urban-rural communes. The communes determinants levels was determined using the synthetic indicator. The highest level of social infrastructure characterized the communes located in the north and west parts of Zachodniopomorskie province.
