Abstract
The aim of the study was to estimate price advantages of the Polish food producer at the processing level
compared to the German producers in 2012 based on 2002. Conducted analysis of diversifying food prices in
Poland and in Germany shows that Polish producers still have meaning the majority price towards German
producers, both on the level of the producer, as well as the consumer. The biggest advantage we achieved
so far in the poultry meat market and meat products, dairy products and cereals and confectionery, as well
as juices, soft drinks and mineral waters and tobacco. Currently undoubtedly progressing process of price
equalization of both the producer and the consumer on the Polish and German, and applies to all products
(animal, vegetable and highly processed). The process of price equalization is one of the factors that forced
Polish food producers to seek sources of non-price competitiveness.
