000201520 520__ $$aThis paper presents the results of research on the competitive advantages of selected types of Polish
farms in the comparison with referring Hungarian and German farms. This analysis was focused on farms
operating within the FADN System in the years: 2006-2010. According to the study, Polish farms indicates
the capacity of further development and future competitive advantage, but such a positive future performance
of Polish farms depends on their economic size. Suggesting remark of this research is that the recommended
minimum economic size of selected types of farms shall break the limits, depending on the type of farm,
i.e.: field crops (type 13 and 14) and orchard (type 32) shall be above 8 ESU and farms of vegetables , dairy
and cattle shall be over 16 ESU, while the pig shall be bigger than 40 ESU.
