Urban area and rural area are two integral parts of regional economic system. Without joint and coordinated development of urban and rural areas, it is impossible to realize global optimization of economy and maximization of social welfare. Through study of dynamic mechanism for development of urban and rural spatial integration, it is expected to understand laws, mechanism and means of urban and rural spatial structure evolution, so as to better promote sustainable development of urban and rural population, resources and environment.
