Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of climatic variability on ethanol trade between Brazil and the U.S utilizing a partial equilibrium model of ethanol import demand and export supply. The results suggest that climatic factors play an important role in the feedstock production for ethanol, in the two countries of study.
