To facilitate strategic thinking, we induce asymmetric gain and loss experiences. We find that female entrepreneurs react to own gains and losses like other women and to opponents’ experiences like male entrepreneurs. Overall entry of female entrepreneurs is much lower than that of male entrepreneurs and does not differ from other women indicating that also female entrepreneurs dislike strategic competition. Risk aversion does not to account for this finding. 000146511 650__ $$aLabor and Human Capital 000146511 650__ $$aTeaching/Communication/Extension/Profession 000146511 6531_ $$agender differences 000146511 6531_ $$aentrepreneurship 000146511 6531_ $$aoccupational choice 000146511 6531_ $$again and loss experiences 000146511 700__ $$aArtinger, Sabrina 000146511 700__ $$aSchade, Christian 000146511 8564_ $$99da6d68b-5942-45d1-bd91-5a5b8104aad2$$s301974$$uhttps://ageconsearch.umn.edu/record/146511/files/wp4_2.pdf 000146511 887__ $$ahttp://purl.umn.edu/146511 000146511 909CO $$ooai:ageconsearch.umn.edu:146511$$pGLOBAL_SET 000146511 912__ $$nSubmitted by Kerstin Oertel (k.oertel@agrar.hu-berlin.de) on 2013-03-14T10:49:04Z No. of bitstreams: 1 wp4_2.pdf: 301974 bytes, checksum: fd710b182e539cb4314b6a8ccbdec2f2 (MD5) 000146511 912__ $$nMade available in DSpace on 2013-03-14T10:49:06Z (GMT).
