Results suggest that trade and income growth tend to increase environmental quality in developed countries, whereas they have detrimental effects on environmental quality in most developing countries. It is also found that for developed countries the causal relationship appears to run from trade and income to the environment - a change in trade and income growth causes a consequent change in environmental quality, and the opposite relationship holds for developing countries. 000006510 546__ $$aEnglish 000006510 650__ $$aEnvironmental Economics and Policy 000006510 650__ $$aInternational Relations/Trade 000006510 6531_ $$aDeveloped countries 000006510 6531_ $$aDeveloping countries 000006510 6531_ $$aEnvironmental quality 000006510 6531_ $$aGlobalization 000006510 6531_ $$aTime-series analysis 000006510 6531_ $$aTrade 000006510 700__ $$aBaek, Jungho 000006510 700__ $$aCho, Yongsung 000006510 700__ $$aKoo, Won W. 000006510 8564_ $$925265552-f331-4f69-8c0f-f27e797db639$$s230903$$uhttps://ageconsearch.umn.edu/record/6510/files/497478.pdf 000006510 887__ $$ahttp://purl.umn.edu/6510 000006510 909CO $$ooai:ageconsearch.umn.edu:6510$$pGLOBAL_SET 000006510 912__ $$nSubmitted by Julia Kelly (jkelly@umn.edu) on 2008-05-05T04:11:32Z No. of bitstreams: 1 29902.pdf: 230903 bytes, checksum: f20c73b95ce8b4cf12de173bf028707d (MD5) 000006510 912__ $$nMade available in DSpace on 2008-05-05T04:11:33Z (GMT).
