THE INFLUENCE OF UNITED STATES MONETARY POLICY ON ARGENTINA AND BRAZIL SOYBEAN SUPPLY RESPONSE

U.S. monetary pol"icy influence on Argentina and Brazil soybean supply response was investigated. An econometric model was constructed. ~~hile some economists hypothesized that a tight U.S. monetary policy coupled with the countries debt burden would encourage their soybean production, the results suggested that theirĀ· domestic policy concerns were more dominant.
