U.S. monetary pol"icy influence on Argentina and Brazil soybean supply response was investigated. An econometric model was constructed. ~~hile some economists hypothesized that a tight U.S. monetary policy coupled with the countries debt burden would encourage their soybean production, the results suggested that theirĀ· domestic policy concerns were more dominant.
