Abstract

Net operating margin per hectare of agricultural land is an economic category representing added value reduced by depreciation and personal expenses. The value of this indicator is noticeably higher in the group of enterprises farming in worse soil and natural conditions. In spite of it the operating economic result per hectare of agricultural land was in the year 2000 in the group of enterprises of the first region 1 756 Sk (economic result per enterprise 466 Sk). The enterprises farming in the second region suffered a loss 1 518 Sk (loss per enterprise 1 052 Sk). Added value decreased in both groups of enterprises, in the first group by 4.3 % (by 94 Sk per 2 100 Sk per hectare of agricultural land) and in the second group by 16.5 % (by 2 479 Sk per 12 517 Sk per hectare of agricultural land). This decrease influenced negatively the development of net operating margin mainly in the group of enterprises farming in better soil and natural conditions.
