The paper analyses the application of strategic factors of the logistics chain in business units of the agri-food sector. Experience showed that the importance and significance of logistics in this area corresponds with the prosperity of business units. Development of the logistics chain is supposed not only to ensure its procedural side, but also to respect time, expenses and quality, to improve the flow of logistics information and the information system, and to pay attention to the process of changes, logistics outsourcing, as well as logistics project management.
