A turizmus sajátossága a terek speciális használata. A turizmus térhasználata során rendelkezésre álló terek mind az urbánus, mind a vidéki területeken egyformán használhatók, viszont egymástól eltérő tulajdonságokkal rendelkeznek. Az egészségturizmus egyik jellemzője, hogy valamilyen természeti tényező igénybevételével, annak lehetőségével vagy orvosi felügyelettel történik meg a szolgáltatások használata. Az egészségturisztikai célhelyek és desztinációk zömében a vidéki környezetben találhatóak, amelynek kialakulásában nagy szerepet játszott a történeti fejlődés. Az egészségturisztikai szolgáltatók számára az urbánus környezet nem kizáró ok, de ez esetben nem egy turisztikai desztináció helyét, hanem a saját vállalkozásnak vagy speciális gyógymódjának használati helyét jelöli meg egyfajta saját márkás desztinációként. A turizmus tervezése, térbeli elhelyezése kiemelten foglalkoztatja a tervező mérnököket és a beruházók fantáziáját. A verseny óriási, és világszintű újdonsággal csak azok a projektek tudnak kitűnni, amelyek megfelelően magas színvonalú tudással rendelkeznek a turizmus komplex folyamatáról. Jelen munkámban egy ilyen magas színvonalú és komplex tértervezéssel párosuló új egészségturisztikai desztináció esettanulmányán keresztül kívánom bemutatni a professzionális turisztikai tervezés lehetőségeit. ---------- The special use of space is among the distinctive features of tourism. The spaces available for tourism can be utilised both in urban and rural areas; however, they usually have different characteristics. One of the special characteristics of health tourism is that the services – that often rely on the use of natural assets - are offered under medical supervision. Health tourism destinations are mostly located in rural areas, with a long historical development background. Of course, urban regions can also offer health tourism services, but in these cases they are more often referred to by the name of the service provider or the service itself (as a brand), and not by the name of their location. Tourism space planning is an important issue for spatial designers and tourism investors. Because of the fierce competition within the field, state-of-the-art projects must have an excellent knowledge of the complex processes of tourism. My study aims to explore the opportunities in professional tourism planning by introducing a case study of a new health tourism destination which was implemented with the use of world class complex spatial design.
