Abstract
Systemic transformation in Poland had many dimensionp. In the context of the politics, it has resulted in democratization, pluralism, multiplicity of political parties and the relative openness of political recruitment. In the field of economic, transformation has led to the liquidation of the central control principles and subject actors’ behaviour to the market game. Correlated with them, but also with other, independent sources social changes opened the Polish society in the world and European trendp. There appeared the phenomenon previously unheard of in our society, or marginally present, countless people had to change their life strategies to function in the new reality. At the junction of planes constructing the sphere of interests in sociology and economics, there are various issues that seem interesting and important not only from the standpoint of science, but also the practice of social life. A cardinal issue here is unemployment, social exclusion and matching individuals to the realities of the labour market. It would result in the interest in the transformations taking place in the labour market, in the context of changes in various professions. Work process itself takes place mostly in a particular social milieu, the phenomenon of modern times up to now has not led to the emergence of large-scale task-oriented sets, which work activities are connected with human work in separation from other unitp. In addition, professions do not exist in a vacuum – their creations are addressed to individualp. In the course of daily life, each of us is in contact with representatives of various professions, tangible products of human work are with us at every step. Therefore, it seems important how we now assess the representatives of various professions, whether in the light of their status, we believe that they play their roles as they should.
