For this purpose, we estimate the elasticity of substitution between imported and domestically produced goods. Annual data (1996-2012) are analyzed with an econometric framework based on the Maximum Entropy. The result shows that there is a substitution relationship between imported and domestic corn and in the end; domestic prices areaffected from world price more than the short run. 000262602 546__ $$aEnglish 000262602 650__ $$aCrop Production/Industries 000262602 650__ $$aDemand and Price Analysis 000262602 650__ $$aInternational Relations/Trade 000262602 6531_ $$aPrice transmission 000262602 6531_ $$aMaximum Entropy (ME) 000262602 6531_ $$aArmington elasticity 000262602 700__ $$aZeraatkish, Yaghoub 000262602 700__ $$aMoteghaed, Haniyeh Yousefi 000262602 773__ $$j06$$k3$$q363$$o367$$tInternational Journal of Agricultural Management and Development (IJAMAD) 000262602 8560_ $$fsnyde350@umn.edu 000262602 8564_ $$9b4a3ef25-fe5a-48cf-81aa-9164a0f87bd5$$s455408$$uhttps://ageconsearch.umn.edu/record/262602/files/IJAMAD_Volume%206_Issue%203_Pages%20363-367.pdf 000262602 8564_ $$96fd202d8-95f3-4e37-95f8-7f9bf200be8b$$xpdfa$$s1750935$$uhttps://ageconsearch.umn.edu/record/262602/files/IJAMAD_Volume%206_Issue%203_Pages%20363-367.pdf?subformat=pdfa 000262602 909CO $$ooai:ageconsearch.umn.edu:262602$$pGLOBAL_SET 000262602 913__ $$aBy depositing this Content ('Content') in AgEcon Search, I agree that I am solely responsible for any consequences of uploading this Content to AgEcon Search and making it publicly available, and I represent and warrant that: I am either the sole creator and the owner of the copyrights and all other rights in the Content; or, without obtaining another’s permission, I have the right to deposit the Content in an archive such as AgEcon Search.
