La floraison des ignames est très complexe. De plus, le sexe-ratio est déséquilibré avec une prédominance mâle. Le comportement floral de trois clones issus d'une population hybride et un clone local de Dioscorea cayenensis - rotundata a été étudié en appliquant trois substances de croissance. Ces substances GA3, CCC et ETHREL ont été appliquées par pulvérisation aérienne, 30 jours après la levée. Une différence de potentialité de floraison entre les clones mâles et femelles a été mise en évidence. Le GA3 semble influencer la floraison des deux sexes mais les doses optimales restent à déterminer. On devrait s'interroger sur les différences génétiques et/ou enzymatiques entre les deux sexes. ----- The flowering of yams is complex. Moreover, the sex-ratio is unbalanced with a preponderance of staminate flowers over pistillate flowers. The flowering behavior of three clones issued from a hybrid population and a local clone of Dioscorea cayenensis-rotundata was studied, using three growth substances. These growth substances : GA3, CCC and ETHREL were sprayed on the aerial parts of plants, 30 days after sprouting. A difference in the flowering potentiality between sex was illustrated. GA3 seems to influence the flowering of both sex but the optimal dose of application remains to be determined. One should enquire on the genetic and/or the enzymatic différencies between the two sexes.
