Abstract

The aim of this paper was to present the economic aspects related to innovation activities of enterprises operating in the food industry in Poland in the years 2004-2014. It stayed drafted based on secondary available sources. He has survey character and teoretic-empirical. The following research tools were applied: analysis of the state of examinations, critical analysis, descriptive analysis and simple statistical methods. In the analysed period a small downward trend of the amount of the incurred expenditure on the innovative activity. In the degree of renovating of the downward trend was significant. In the enterprises of the food industry dominated imitative innovations. In the case of the participation of the food enterprises which have introduced innovations in total enterprises occurred relative stabilization. There has appeared a moderate or weak relationship between the analysed parameters.
