Abstract

Along with the growth in production of poultry meat and eggs and with progressing processes of the intensification of the milk production and the breeding of pigs, systematically a demand grows for high protein fodder raw materials, in it mainly GMO soybean meal. A supply and consuming of other protein fodders grow, in it among others of legume seeds fodders, but because of their little domestic production and dietary restrictions, they still have relatively a minor importance. However, there are possibilities to increase the use of domestic legume seeds in the animal nutrition to the larger scale than so far when compared with the current level of consuming, provided that they are available on the market in sufficient amounts. Unfortunately, currently there are no premises pointing to the radical increase of the leguminous participation in reserves of protein fodders, at most the growth of consuming them can influence the limitation of import dynamics of soybean meal. Possibilities of the of the large scale substitution of GMO soybean meal for other fodder materials are also limited.
