Abstract
The aim of the study was to assess the economic different varieties of corn grown in the two systems:
integrated and organic. The research material consisted results of a field experiment conducted in 2011-2013
at RZD Kępa IUNG-PIB Puławy. The first factor was varieties of maize: Bosman, Opoka, Ułan and Vitras,
and the second factor production system: organic and integrated.
The analysis showed that the integrated system are a larger share of material costs, which impact costs
are applied mineral fertilizers and chemical protection (a total of 27.2%). Cultivation of maize almost all
varieties of this species has guaranteed gross margin. However, almost three times higher level of gross
margin provided the integrated system of maize production. The cultivation of Ułan and Vitras varieties, both
as in integrated as in organic system guarantees cover the costs of revenue from its operations.
