Abstract
The aim of the study was to demonstrate the opportunities and barriers to the development of
entrepreneurship in the provision of tourist services in rural areas of Lower Silesia. The research was
conducted in the poviat Kłodzki and Milicz of accommodation provider. Based on the research it can be
concluded that the development of tourist service providers in rural areas effectively reduces the financial
barrier, and often lack of resorting to foreign capital. This has its impact on the quality of our products, the
system of promotion and distribution. Determinants of the development of agritourism farms are: greater
availability of credit and funds of the European Union, the activities of local authorities for the promotion
and development of infrastructure, transparent regulatory framework to facilitate the operation of such
facilities, cooperation with tour operators tourist information points.
