Abstract

This article deals with a plant breeding technique which divides organic vegetable production into two antagonistic competing networks. The fiercest critics dismiss it as being Genetically Modified Organisms that jeopardizes the ethical and environmental integrity of organic agriculture. This struggle also builds up on an oldest economic and political opposition. Public research organizations, like INRA, or organic agriculture sector, both national and international, shall be required for their expertise. Whereas from INRA point of view there is no scientific justification for considering this technique as natural or not, the others agree with ethical critic but want to cooperate economically and politically with all producers organizations.
