El princciapl objetivo de este trabajo es el analisis del impacto sobre el mercado laboral pesquero andaluz en referencia a la flota pesquera afectada por la no renovacion del acuerdo de pesca entre la Union Europea y el Reino de Marruecos. En este sentido, se lleva a cabo un estudio de los determinantes de la duracion del desempleo para los pescadores andaluces que se vieron obligados a paralizar su actividad y perdieron su empleo tras la finalizacion del Acuerdo de pesca entre la Union Europea y el Reino de Marruecos el 30 de noviembre de 1999. Utilizando la metodologia de los modelos de riesgos en competencia se identifican los factores relevantes que afectan a la duracion del desempleo para cada una de las salidas consideradas. Para ello se distinguen como salidas alternativas los empleos en el Regimen Especial de Trabajadores del Mar y en un Regimen distinto a este por su importancia en la formulacion de medidas que favorezcan la reconversion o diversificacion de la actividad pesquera. The main objective of this work is to analyze the impact on the Andalusian fishing labour market in relation to the fishing fleet which was affected by the non-renewal of the fishing agreement between the European Union and Morocco. In this regard, we study the causes of unemployment duration for the Andalusian fisherman whose fishing activity finished when the Fishing Agreement between the European Union and Morocco expired on 30 November 1999. Using a competing risk model, we have identified the factors that influence the duration of the unemployment in the Sea Workers' Special Regime and the employment in a Regime which is different from this one, because of its importance in the suggestion of measures that benefits the restructuring or diversification of fishing activity.
