Thoughts and Proposals on Equity of China’s Rural Compulsory Education

Based on the requirement of improving rural compulsory education quality and balancing education development proposed in “the twelfth five-year” plan, difference in compulsory education between urban and rural areas in China is analyzed. Fairness of rural compulsory education is taken into consideration and the corresponding countermeasures are suggested.
