From the results of the analysis, we can observe the increasing growth in time of domestic demand for poultry meat (primarily chicken meat), and further, also a certain level of stagnation in the area of domestic production, whose rate of growth is significantly lower as compared to the rate of growth of actual consumption. In the course of the years, the domestic market is becoming more dependent on imports of poultry meat primarily from EU countries. The negative trade balance of the Czech Republic in relation to partner countries increased significantly within the analyzed period.
