Abstract: This paper contains an examination of agri-environmental policy options and issues for working lands in the 2007 United States farm bill. Options and issues are presented in the context of a policy framework that recognizes agriculture's "multifunctionality". Explicit attention is given to various proposals for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program, the Conservation Security Program, and policies regarding organic agriculture.
