| Title: | Structural Change in the Demand for Differentiated Meat Products in Sydney |
| Authors: | Gorny, Rachel A. Ahmadi-Esfahani, Fredoun Z. |
| Issue Date: | 1993-04 |
| Abstract: | Concerns about the recent trends away from the consumption of red meat have led to tests for structural change in demand. These tests have typically treated the individual meats as homogeneous commodities. This article uses disaggregated data to test for structural change in the demand for differentiated meat products in Sydney over the seasons from winter 1987 to autumn 1991 using a revealed preference approach. The results fail to provide any evidence of structural change. |
